Lodge Restaurant Bar
We opened the restaurant at the Lodge in 2007 under Philippe Farineau. Initially we offered a fine dining menu but later added bistro elements with Chef Carol O Brien in 2007. Carol is now discovering the joys of motherhood so this year under new chef Chef James Coffey, we have modified the menu to reflect
the demand for fine dining among our residents.
James is a well travelled chef and has honed his skills in a litany of fine establishments
in Spain, London and here at home in Dromoland, Capella Castlemartyr, Doonbeg and
Kenmare.
The menu is available to browse at the end of this page and in line with our Seafood
Circle membership, contains a number of wonderfully fresh seafood dishes. Burren Lamb and prime
Angus Beef are also staples of the imaginative offering. The emphasis
is on pairings of flavours and texture with a modern refreshingly simple presentation.
Michael runs the restaurant each evening with Breda, Karolina, Monica and other
servers.The atmosphere
is informal- plenty of banter and wit abounding. Enjoy the local photographs
mounted on canvass taken by Michael when he had spare time!!
We are open for Dinner in the evening from 6.30pm. We close for a night or two on
quieter evenings so check ahead before booking.
